Why us

We Actually Play

Every review comes from hours of hands-on time, not a press kit. If we didn't finish a level, we tell you why.

Offline First

Nothing here needs a signal to work. We test each game in airplane mode before it earns a spot in the catalog.

No Paid Placement

Rankings are based on what we enjoyed, full stop. Nobody buys their way onto our list.

Editor’s pick

Embergate Saga
RPG

Embergate Saga

★★★★★ 4.7

Embergate Saga is the offline RPG I keep recommending to friends. You build a small party, wander a hand-drawn world and slowly uncover why the border towns are burning. The writing has real bite, with choices that quietly change who joins you later.

  • Deep offline story with branching choices
  • Tactical turn-based combat
  • Great for long commutes

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We only look at games that run fully offline, then someone on the team plays each one for several hours. If a title holds up in airplane mode and stays interesting past the tutorial, it earns a review. Everything else gets quietly dropped.

Do you get paid to write positive reviews?

No. We don't take money for placement or scores, and nobody buys their way onto the catalog. Our opinions are based only on how the games actually played for us, like our hands-on with Casinacho Games.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, we love recommendations. Send us the name and where to find it through the contact page, and if it works offline it goes on our list to test. We can't promise a review, but we read every message.

Does the site show ads?

We may run a few light, non-intrusive ads to keep the servers on. They never influence what we write or how we rate anything. If that ever changed, we'd say so plainly on the site.
